EpoxyMaster Epoxy Floor DIY Kits

Written By Brian Fujere

Gadgets4Guys would like to apologize to all of our readers. We have been neglecting a certain group of gadgets for the past few months and that would be our DIY gadgets. In all honesty, we probably would have never even realized that our DIY section needed some water if we hadn’t received our annual list of spring projects from our wives letting us know all the stuff that needed to be done. There are two areas that typically serve as a safe haven to men everywhere which can either be the basement or the garage. We’ve figured out the reason these two areas are typically “our” areas is because they aren’t pretty and finished. We are fine with that fact but what if you could do a quick weekend project and actually turn your garage into something that all of your buddies will be envious of.

Price: $175 – $265

The DIY gadget that can really transform your garage is a DIY Epoxy Kit from the guys over at EpoxyMaster. If you have ever stumbled into a garage that doesn’t have nasty oil spills and cracks in the concrete showing through, it was mostly likely an epoxy finish on that garage floor. It is usually really nice and has some different paint flecks in it or has an ultra high gloss finish. EpoxyMaster decided that this epoxy finish on garage floors should no longer be something that is reserved for the rich and famous (we’re talking about you). You can choose to get just the epoxy or the entire DIY kit. They have a detailed video showing you step by step what you need to do to get the epoxy garage of your dreams here. Basically, here are the steps that you need to do (but please go off of the video):

        • Prep the surface by sweeping and removing any dirt and debris

        • Use a degreaser to remove any oil stains from the concrete

        • Profile the surface using their prep solution

        • Once you have rinsed the surface off, mix the epoxy solution and begin to apply

        • Sprinkle the fleck to add some extra flair to the epoxy floor

There are some minor details that the video will show you but that is basically it in a nutshell, if you’re ready for an awesome weekend project that will really make a garage look amazing. Below is a series of photos displaying examples of the epoxy finish. Click here for image source and where to buy.
